Can you type like a court reporter?Submitted by NRGCO on Fri, 01/06/2017 - 10:05
The average person types at a speed of 40 words per minute, while court reporters and transcribers are trained to type at a high rate, such as 60-70 WPM.
In fact, one of our court reporters at Neal R. Gross can type 130 WPM. That is an incredible amount of speed.
Can you keep up? Try taking this test: http://typing-speed-test.aoeu.eu/
How did you fare? Perhaps taking the test has shed some light on how skilled and hardworking reporters and transcribers have to be – typing at a fast speed yet still remaining accurate.
